CREDIT CARD CLONE

A clone credit card is basically a duplicate of an existing credit card. These cards are created using stolen information such as a victim’s name, account number, expiration date, and verification code contained on the card’s magnetic stripe. Using this stolen data, criminals obtain a counterfeit card that has been imprinted with the same account information as the original card. This allows them to make unauthorized card purchases without raising any suspicion. 

One way criminals is through skimming. This involves secretly installing a skimmer device, usually at an ATM or gas pump, that captures the stolen data from a card’s magnetic stripe. In many cases, the criminals will also make a duplicate of the card with the same account information and use it to make fraudulent purchases.
